INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION LEVELS AND STANDARDS

CPCM_2  Certified Professional Category Managers (CPCM) are at an advanced level with all the aforementioned criteria as well as understand the ethical expectations and legal implications of category management. CPCM’s also possess experience with geo-demographic/behavioral data and can identify actionable insights. These professionals have conducted category reviews and comprehend root cause analytics, shopper behavior, retailer economics and the supply chain. Training is available through CMA accredited Solution Providers.

*Certification levels can only be achieved in succession (CPCA, CPCM and CPSA).  We are recommending the following general development timeline for people to consider in their personal development for the CPCM certification: Category Manager 3-6 years

 

*Please note, to prepare for the CPCM test, we recommend taking our CMA “accredited” training coursework which is offered through a variety of approved SOLUTION PROVIDERS.  You may, however, register for and complete the exam without taking training.  However, if you do not pass the exam, there will be a test retake $ charge
